I love Osaka
Love Azumanga, Osaka and Sakaki are my favorites from that series. (But I like Chiyo-chan too! ^^ ) I think you'll enjoy the anime, I personally like it better than the manga.
And while you're at it check out Yotsuba&! sometime if you haven't. Its by the same creator who did the manga for Azumanga. Its hilarious, never fails to make me smile, and Yotsuba herself is so adorable!
